Sufi Emperor Dewanbagi (Rh.)

at a unique role to serve humanity

 

Not only in preaching religion but also in social life, this Sufi Saint was a living embodiment of humanity. Dewanbagi Hujur engaged himself in different humanitarian activities all his life including education, medical treatment, building roads, bridges, culverts, and distributing relief in every natural disaster. He was one of the life term members of the National Heart Foundation as a patronizer established for the poor cardiac patients. He provided free medical treatment to thousands of people in his own village Bahadurpur.

Besides, Sufi Emperor Dewanbagi Hujur (Rh.) wholeheartedly dedicated himself in all the disasters to the service of humanity. In the terrible floods of 1988 and 1998, he distributed food every day in his own hands to the affected people in Dhaka and Narayanganj prepared overnight in his Darbar Sharif. Besides, he sent relief goods to different areas of the country through his followers. 

Sufi Emperor Hujur also had a great role in spreading education. He is one of the main patronizers of Arambag High School & College in Dhaka, Bahadurpur Primary School in Brahmanbaria, Dewanbag Primary School in Narayanganj. Sufi Emperor Hujur made many roads, bridges, and culverts in Bahadurpur of Brahmanbaria and Dewanbag of Narayanganj for the easy movement of the locals. He arranged electricity and gas connections for the convenience of the locals applying to the government.

Sufi Emperor Hujur set the latest example of humanity before his demise. When the entire globe became crippled with the corona pandemic, hundreds of thousands of people became jobless at home and abroad, then foodstuffs were sent to the helpless people across the country at the direction of Dewanbagi Hujur(Rh.).He gave cash too. These activities weren’t limited to home only. The ex-pat Bangladeshis and locals who became jobless in different countries including Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia Maldives, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Sweden, Greece; Dewanbagi Hujur extended his helping hand to them as well.
